Imagine living a life where it was your job to climb fruit trees and pollinate each flower by hand because there are no longer any bees to pollinate our fruit tress. With climate change this could be our possible future reality. This is the reality for the main character of this book Peony.
Peony lives on a farm with her sister and grandfather she lives in a time where all bee are extinct, her job along with many other children is to climb trees and pollinate each flower by hand.
Will Peony be able to use her bravery and courage to get her through some troubling times?
This book has been selected as a finalist in the New Zealand Book Awards 2018.
